Jacksonville, Fla. – President Barack Obama flew to Florida to attend the wedding of a White House aide, Marvin Nicholson. The newlywed bride, Helen Pajcic, is the daughter of Steve Pajcic, a Florida lawyer who hosted Obama in 2007 for a fundraiser, according to Florida Times-Union.

Saturday’s wedding is one of the last trips Obama will take as president. During his flight to Florida, reporters spotted Obama watching the Oakland Raiders play the Houston Texans during the AFC wild card game. Shortly after the wedding, the president was seen getting back on Air Force One.

Obama’s arrival in Florida comes just a day after Ft Lauderdale airport attack. The president has yet to meet with the families of the victims who were shot at the airport.

The president arrived in Florida just hours after his star-studded farewell bash. Dozens of celebrities including Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep and Usher turned out to boogie down until 4am at the White House.

According to numerous news sources, the couple worked on Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign before they joined the administration.
