The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery this morning of the BB&T Bank branch located at 1635 Market Street.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot and was last seen heading north on 17th Street.
The subject is described as a male in his 40s to 50s (per witness accounts, possibly of Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent), approximately 5’10”-5’11” tall, medium build, unshaven.  He wore a tan ¾-length jacket and dark-colored knit cap.
This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There is a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
