Residents in the Doylestown areas of Bucks County are being asked to stay inside their homes after a prisoner escaped Sunday night.
Police say a prisoner escaped during a transport in the area of Bristol and Lower State roads, where authorities say he was last seen.
One resident told Action News a sheriffs van pulled into his driveway, made a u-turn and then activated his lights. It is believed that’s when authorities realized they a prisoner was missing from the van.
Residents in Doylestown are advised to stay inside and lock their doors as the search for the prisoner continues.
The prisoners identity and offense have not been released to the media. Calls to the prison and police have been unsuccessful.
A Reverse 911 was activated to keep residents safe.
