CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) – A man was riding his bike home in Chester early Monday night before being gunned down.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the area of East 20th Street and Edgmont Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.

Upon arrival Officer Jerome Duncan located a 19-year-old Hispanic male suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

The male was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center(CCMC) via ambulance for treatment and is currently in stable condition.

Several spent shell casings were located and recovered on the 1800 block of Edgemont Ave.

The victim advised detectives he did not know who was shooting at him or where the gunshots came.

The investigation is ongoing and being lead by Detective Steven Byrne.
