CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) – Chester City Police responded to two shootings Thursday within just an hour.
Just before 7:30 Thursday, police were dispatched to the 200 block of West 21st St. for reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Officer Abreu noticed a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right hand.
He was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Officers located six shell casings on the scene.
The victim was a 21-year-old male from Sharon Hill.
He stated that two black males wearing all black approached him and his friends. The men then opened fire.
The victim told police that he hasn’t had any arguments with anyone and does not know why people would be shooting at him.
When police spoke to the victim at the hospital, he stated if the shooters were identified, he would not cooperate with the prosecution.

Just an hour later, Chester City Police received another call for reports of shots fired.
The second shooting happened on the 1000 block of West 8th St.
After responding officer Gary Richardson noticed a silver Nissan Sentra with a shattered rear windshield & a bullet hole above the windshield in the roof, he located two shell casings nearby.
Residents told police that they saw a white SUV seen fleeing from the area & traveled towards Pennell St.
A little while later, Crozer-Chester Medical Center informed police that a 27-year-old male was in the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim stated that he left the gas station and was traveling on W 8th St in his white Dodge Durango when all of a sudden he heard gun shots and sped away.
Police located his Durango on Yarnall St. in the Flower Manor Apartment Complex with four gunshots.
There was a bullet hole in the rear hatchback door, one in the rear passenger door, one in the front passenger door window and the front passenger panel.
