Chester: One dead after major collision Tuesday afternoon

CHESTER, Pa. (YC) – Chester Police are investigating a fatal accident that left one person dead Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 2 p.m. Chester City Police responded to the intersection of North 2nd Street & Franklin Avenue for reports of a multi-vehicle accident with entrapments.

When police arrived, they noticed multiple occupants injured.

Two passengers were immediately rushed to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for treatment.

One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The Delaware County Medical Examiner was on location.

One vehicle traveled westbound on an eastbound lane causing the collision, police told YC.

The details of the crash is currently under investigation.
