CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) – Students from Chester High School were leaving just as patrol officers heard several shots being fired nearby.

Officer immediately began checking the area when they received a call for a man suffering from a gunshot wound on the 1200 block of West 9th St.

Upon police arrival, they were led to an alleyway located in the odd side of the 1200 block of West 9th Street, where they discovered a juvenile victim, approximately 16-years-old, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Due to the severity of the wound, the victim was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center by responding police personnel.

Once at Crozer-Chester, the victim was turned over to medical personnel, where he was treated for his injuries.

The victim is listed in good condition at this time.
