CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) — Police in Chester City are investigating a shooting that sent a grandmother to the hospital Tuesday night.

Officers from the City of Chester Police Department responded to a residence in the 900 block of Tilghman Street.

When police arrived, a woman, later identified as Melissa Munce, was standing outside of the residence with blood running down her face.

Munce told police that she was inside her residence, on the second floor, and was playing with her grand daughter when she heard shots.

After hearing the shots, she stated that she felt a sharp pain above her eye, then felt blood running down her face.
