Police are on the scene of a shooting that left at least five victims wounded just two miles from the standoff that wounded multiple police officers Wednesday, yc.news can confirm.

The incident unraveled just after 5 p.m. Thursday on the 3700 block of North 15th Street. Police have not yet revealed the conditions of the five victims. No arrests have been made and police have not released a description of any suspects.

As we previously reported, a gunman held a day-long standoff that went into the early morning hours Wednesday on the 5800 block of North 15th Street.

Neighbors tell us at least five people were wounded by gunfire and transported to Einstein Hospital.

We were first to report Wednesday that a crazed gunman held a standoff with police who were attempting to execute a narcotics warrant. The man was identified as 34-year-old Maurice Hill.

Hill held two police officers and civilians hostage for several hours before releasing them. Shortly thereafter he surrendered to police.

This is a developing story.

Correction: This incident was not at the same location as the police standoff Wednesday, but it is located on the same street approximately two miles away.
