Huntington Beach, Ca. – Police shot and killed a man at a park where kids were doing soccer tryouts.

According to NBC4 LA, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex Outdoor complex in the 18000 block of Goldenwest Street.
Witnesses said a man came by a youth soccer practice acting erratically and had an object in his hand that they could not identify.

Huntington Beach Police Chief Robert Handy said a man in his 20s was running through various fields in the park, chasing children.

“There were reports that he was holding a bat and a broken bottle,” Handy said. “He was chasing kids and ran up some bleachers where there were parents.”
