CHESTER, Pa. (YC) – While patrolling the streets of Chester, two officers heard gunfire erupt just blocks away.

Officers were on routine patrol in the area of 9th & Highland Avenue when they heard gunfire erupt within a very close proximity of their location.

Police quickly approached the area of 9th & Grace Streets, where they observed a red Pontiac fleeing the area and noticed a black male lying in the street.

Upon further investigation it was learned that the red vehicle contained another gunshot victim, and the vehicle was transporting him  to Crozer Chester Medical Center to be treated for his wounds.
