KINGSESSING – A young girl is hospitalized in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound in the Kingsessing section of Philadelphia.
It happened at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 1300 block of South Wilton Street.
Police arrived to find a 3-year-old girl who had been shot once in the right thigh.
Medics rushed her to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.
Reports are told investigators did recover the weapon.
They remained on the scene as they worked to determine if the girl’s wound was self-inflicted.
