    DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (Gov.) – The Delaware County Kennel Club presented a bullet proof vest and first aid kit to K-9 Charlie of the District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force on Nov. 27 at the District Attorney’s Office in Media.

    Joined by K-9 handler and forensic analyst Nat Evans of the ICAC Unit along with District Attorney Jack Whelan and Chief Joseph Ryan, the protective equipment was presented to Charlie by Delaware County Kennel Club members Marge Remolde, Patricia Hamilton and Jane Kramer.

    The Delaware County Kennel Club, an all-breed dog club, is known for its activities to advance dog care and ownership through sponsorship of dog shows and matches, handling classes, rescue missions, nursing home visits and provision of protective equipment for K-9 dogs.

    Charlie is first and only electronic-detection forensic K-9 in Pennsylvania and one of less than two dozen across the country.
