CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) — Officers from the City of Chester Police Department were dispatched to 2300 block of Providence Ave Friday morning for the report of a male on the roof of the abandoned residence.

The caller further stated that the male appeared to be unconscious.

Upon police arrival, they observed a male, who was positively identified as 33-year-old Adam Hoffman, laying face down on the rooftop, with his legs hanging off of the residence.

Paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center (CCMC) arrived on location, and with the assistance from the  City of Chester Fire Department, they gained access to the rooftop.  After checking for any signs of life, and finding none, the paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

At this time, there appeared to be no signs of foul play.  The body was turned over to the medical examiners office for further investigation.
