CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) — A man in a silver Nissan Altima took off from Chester City Police early Wednesday night — leading them on a high speed chase through the city and onto I95 South towards Delaware.
Chester City Police requested that dispatchers alert Delaware State Police that the suspect was heading their way.
The suspect crashed just a few miles before reaching Delaware, at the Upper Chichester exit.
He then fled on foot through a wooded area and is at large.

Police are actively searching the surrounding neighborhoods as of 7 p.m.
The description is a black male wearing tan pants and a black hoodie.
No reported injuries from the crash.
