CHESTER CITY, Pa. (YC) — Chester City Police are investigating an assault that sent a 60-year-old man to the hospital Wednesday.

Police were dispatched to the Salvation Army on the 100 block of West 15th St. for a report of an assault.

Upon officers arrival, they were met by paramedics, who were already on location.

Paramedics were treating the elderly victim, who resides at the Salvation Army.

The victims injuries are unknown at this time, but do not appear to be life threatening.

Upon further investigation, it was learned that the victim was attacked by multiple juveniles.

The juveniles, approximately 5-6 actors both male and female, began to antagonize the victim as well as other persons who were also in the area before assaulting the victim.

The victim was transported to CCMC where he was treated for his injuries.

Chester City Police told YC the victim was a homeless man who resided at the Salvation Army for temporary shelter.
