    MEDIA COURTHOUSE — Due to the winter snowstorm which is predicted to worsen into Thursday afternoon, the Delaware County Courthouse and Government Center will be closed today Thursday, January 4, 2018.

    Further updates will be available on the website at www.co.delaware.pa.us in addition to the county’s Cold Weather Plan.

    Residents can also call the general information number at 610-891-4000 or visit Facebook at www.Facebook.com/DelawareCountyCouncil. Jurors only can call the Jury Information Line at 610-891-4067.

    Council urges residents to register for Delco Alert, our emergency notification system that alerts residents of emergencies, severe weather, road closures or other emergency events. Residents can register on the county’s website www.co.delaware.pa.us.

    Delaware County’s website also lists various resources that assist people during a storm including help for the elderly through our Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) and help for homeless and vulnerable citizens through our Department of Human Services.

    Residents with an emergency are asked to call 9-1-1.
