Gunfire erupted earlier than usual Monday morning in the City of Chester.
Just after 11 a.m. Chester City Police responded to the 800 block of Pennell Street for reports of a shooting victim.
When police arrived, they found a man later identified as 36-year-old Demarr Johnson with a gunshot wound to his right leg.
Johnson was transported to crozer-chester Medical Center by paramedics where he was treated further for his injuries.
