Police in Delaware County tell YC that they have a person of interest in the city’s 5th homicide of the year, however they are still seeking the public’s assistance.

YC was first to report the shooting that quickly escalated to a homicide erupted just before 4:30 p.m. Easter Sunday.

Police responded to the 300 block of Pennell Street for reports of a gunshot victim.

when police arrived on location they found 23-year-old Tyler Reed-Knox lying on the ground with blood coming from his face and head, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Paramedics quickly transported him to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m.

“Investigating detectives do have a person of interest in this case,” City of Chester Police Captain James P. Chubb told YC. “However, the case is still under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.”
