Police in Chester City investigating triple-shooting that left three people hospitalized Sunday

Police in Delaware County are investigating a shooting that left three people wounded by gunfire in the Highland Gardens section of Chester City late Sunday morning.

The shooting erupted just after 11:45 a.m. on the 1200 block of Culhane and the 2600 block of Swarts Street.

Police are currently on location with detectives and the Chester City Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

According to preliminary reports, several individuals were traveling in a gray or silver four door vehicle with tinted windows when they opened fire outside of the car striking the victims.

All three victims were transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their legs.
