Girl left in critical condition following Chester City shootout

Police in Delaware County are investigating a shooting that left a girl seriously wounded Wednesday.

Just before 5 p.m., members from the City of Chester Police Department responded to the area of the 2600 block of Swarts St. for reports of a shooting.

Upon police arrival, they observed a female victim, who was later identified as Brittany O’Donnell, laying in the middle of the street.

The victim was treated by paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center for numerous gunshot wounds.

The wounds were to her rear neck and back area. She was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center, where she was further treated for her injuries.

Ms. O’Donnell is listed in serious condition at this time.
