A man was shot in both wrists and his elbow while walking down the street in the City of Chester early Friday morning, leaving him confused and hospitalized!
Just after 7 a.m., City of Chester Police responded to the area of Morton & Johnson Street for the reports of a gunshot victim.
“I was making coffee and heard pop, pop – followed by someone screaming ‘damn!’” a resident told yc.news Friday morning. “Next thing you heard was the police – I don’t know if he put his hands up when he heard the mother****ing gunshots but if he did they shot them both!”
According to police, the 22-year-old victim identified as Dayeshon Barnes was walking down Johnson Street when the gunfire erupted.
“He then started running and didn’t even bother looking back,” Captain James Chubb of the City of Chester Police told yc.news. “The victim was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center.”
Police say Dayeshon is listed in good condition.
The vehicle possibly belonging to the gunman was located on Parker and Mary Street, still running, but unoccupied.
The irrational gunman also shot two parked vehicles and two buildings during his bizarre drive-by.
