Police in Philadelphia are continuing to swarm the 3700 block of North 16th Street in Philadelphia for reports of an ‘active shooter’ who wounded at least six Philadelphia police officers, we have learned.
Sources tell us a gunman opened fire on “several police officers” during a gunfight, wounding at least six.
A source close to the investigation states the injuries are non-life threatening and that one officer was injured in a vehicle accident while responding to the scene.
According to sources, two officers are pinned down in the home and SWAT units are on scene. Preliminary reports indicate one of the perpetrators is armed with a “long gun.”
