Members of the public are invited to attend the Sarasota funeral of a veteran with no immediate family.
Edward K. Pearson, 80, of Naples, passed away on Aug. 31, according to his obituary.

“This veteran has no immediate family (and) all are welcome to attend,” the obituary reads.
The internment, with military honors, is at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
His public service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
The cemetery is located at 9810 State Road 72 in Sarasota.
