The U.S. National Security Council debunked what they called ‘fake rumors’ just before midnight Monday — tweeting ‘there is no national lockdown’ in effort to ease the international anxiety over the coronavirus situation, Your Content is first to report.
‘Text message rumors of a national #quarantine are FAKE.’ said the National Security Council. ‘There is no national lockdown. [The CDC] has and will continue to post the latest guidance on #COVID19,’ the tweet continued: ‘#coronavirus’.

The startling rant led to a no-nonsense response by activist Michael Coudrey, who quipped: ‘I hope this isn’t one of those government things where you say there is no quarantine as of now and then end up announcing one next week.’
