New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio declared Tuesday that he is on the verge of issuing a “shelter in place” order for all city residents as the coronavirus outbreak continues to grow, Your Content can report.
‘New Yorkers should expect a shelter in place within 24 hours – 48 max,’ a source briefed on the situation told Your Content. ‘It isn’t to incite any panic – this is simply going to stop the virus dead in its tracks. We must all rise up and pay attention to recommendations made by all levels of government.’
“We’re absolutely considering that,” de Blasio said on CNN.
