At a press conference Saturday afternoon, Murphy said the executive order includes all events, including weddings and parties, Your Content can report.
“This decision is not an easy one, and it pains me that important life moments will not be celebrated in the way we are accustomed to,” Murphy said. “I know this will be disappointing to many residents, but my singular goal, our singular goal… is to make sure we get through this emergency.”
“New Jerseyans can still take a walk outside, go buy groceries, or get take-out from a local restaurant,” Murphy added on Twitter. “But, otherwise, STAY AT HOME.”
