Police Seize 105 Illegal Fish During Routine Search and Donate Them to Nearby People

A group of fishermen are stunned after having their fish confiscated and handed to others nearby after being handed a citation, Your Content has learned.

Police tell Your Content game wardens were checking fishermen along the Brazos River below Lake Granbury on May 8 when they located a group fishing in a secluded area of the river.

Lake Granbury is a North Texas reservoir near Granbury, Texas. It was created in 1969 and is one of three lakes damming the Brazos River. Lake Granbury is contained by the De Cordova Bend Dam and is a long, narrow lake, encompassed by 103 miles of shoreline.

The fishermen were in possession of 105 undersized striped and sand bass, according to the game wardens.

Each member of the group was issued a citatuion, and their equipment was seized.

What’s more, the fish were donated to a needy family in the area, according to Hood County News.
