PHILADELPHIA Police are swarming the 1000 block of Reed Street for reports of an officer down, Your Content is first to report.

According to sources close to the situation … a Lieutenant was shot just after 7 a.m. Friday. He is in stable condition at this time after being rushed to the hospital by nearby partners.

Members of the Philadelphia SWAT Team staged at a nearby Acme. The shooter was apprehended and placed in custody.

No additional information was immediately available.

Police have scheduled a news conference to take place at 10 a.m. this morning, according to a department spokesperson.
