TWO police officers in Delaware County were outed over the weekend as being crooked ‘dishonest’ felons who prosecutors refuse to bring to justice despite being turned in by one of their own, Your Content has learned.

Those are the explosive allegations dropped by Gary Dent, a retired policeman who served the citizens of Delco for over ten years.

Now Dent is breaking his years of silence to reveal the dark secrets he learned while dealing with fellow officers. The retired officer made several attempts to report the potential criminal wrongdoers to Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer’s Office, but they remain unanswered.

“I reached out to DA Stollsteimer about my dealings with crooked lying cops, and never even got a return phone call,” Dent said.

Jack Stollsteimer, the first Democrat ever elected district attorney in Delaware County’s history, was sworn in on Jan. 6, 2020.

Despite that, Dent discovered other agencies were goaded into believing the questionable cops are model officers.

“Having worked as a police officer for 10 years, I can tell you that 99% of cops are good honest people, and I apologize for having to expose a few bad apples.”

Preliminary plans for a Justice Reform Task Force spearheaded by Stollsteimer calls for four working groups: 21st Century Policing, principles for a 21st Century Prosecutor, Legislative Change and County Governments Impact on Achieving Equality and Justice in Delco.

“I don’t care if it takes a day, I don’t care if it takes seven weeks, we’re going to get there, we’re going to get there,” Stollsteimer said on June 16.

“We’ve heard you and we’re listening,” said Chief David Splain, President of the Delco Police Chief’s Association. “Clearly this needs to change and there’s a need for us to do a better job as law enforcement.”

“You cannot fix a problem until you acknowledge one exists. Unfortunately, there are a few that are downright dirty and dishonest I unfortunately had to experience this firsthand,” said Dent.

But it’s the untold story of how the cops managed to cheat justice as innocent people remain imprisoned that still eats away at the retired officer-turned-whistle blower.

The outed officers are Chester Township Police Chief Kenneth Coalson and Captain Laura Hartshorn-Dixon.

“Below are Chester Township Police Chief Kenneth Coalson, and Captain Laura Hartshorn-Dixon,” he wrote on Facebook.

“On paper, they look like your ideal Police Officers. Both have long tenured careers in law enforcement, and both are graduates of the FBI national academy.

“Unfortunately, they have forgotten that the most fundamental attribute to being a good Police Officer, is honesty. That means when you place your hand on the bible, you tell the truth. These two do not, and it is a Felony.”

The former cop didn’t elaborate on what the officers did.

“I know this is not the first time. I cringe at the thought of innocent people sitting in jail because of these two. What is even more disturbing, is the fact that I have reached out to Delaware County DA Jack Stollsteimer, no response. US Attorney Karen Grigsby could not be bothered. US Attorney Richard Barrett of the anti-corruption unit never responded, and neither did MOPECT Pennsylvania State Police.

“Not their jurisdiction and even all the Chester Twp. Council members, they could not be bothered. It seems to me that not only are these two broken, but a lot of the ‘system’ is also. Now all the sudden its important. So here it is for everyone to know! There are bad apples in the system, and if bothers you as much as it bothers me, I would encourage you to reach out to these people and find out why this is acceptable.”

“To all the honest cops, Keep up the good work!”

According to a second source who spoke only under the condition of anonymity, Captain Laura Hartshorn-Dixon is better known as ‘Sergeant Slaughter’ for her crooked dealings.

“She was untouchable by the previous administration. Stollsteimer promised to bring justice to all and only time will tell if anything truly changed in Delaware County.”

“Instead of a task force, Delco should focus on disseminating their skeleton stockpile hidden behind closed doors.”

As Your Content exclusively reported, the tone for then-incoming district attorney Stollsteimer’s first few months in office was set before even crossing the courthouse threshold.

“Stollsteimer is upsetting the apple cart, taking on the establishment and a lot of people are angry and have a lot to lose. You’re seeing that play out in rolling resignations,” an insider at the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office preciously told us. “The outgoing administration littered the district attorney’s office with conservative ideologues, saboteurs and spies.”

“Yes, changing the stagnant, backstabbing swamp of Delaware County is like turning the Titanic around on a dime. But this is the first step – a housecleaning of epic proportions!”

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and Chester Township Police did not respond to requests for comment by Your Content in time for publication.
