PRESIDENT Donald Trump has announced that the Republican National Convention will not take place in Florida due to coronavirus surges, Your Content is first to report.

The RNC will be held in North Carolina, the president said during a coronavirus press conference Thursday afternoon.

“I want to thank the Jacksonville community and all of the other political representatives,” said President Trump. “They were there for us 100%.”

President Trump is ‘praying’ for Florida as they prepare for the deadliest surge in the country, according to reports.

“I told my team it’s time to cancel the Jacksonville component of the GOP convention,” Trump told reporters at a news conference at the White House. “I’ll still do a convention speech in a different form, but we won’t do a big crowded convention.”
