A former prosecutor who was involved in the Bill Cosby investigation has made a troubling allegation against the presiding judge and elected district attorney in an exclusive interview with Your Content, and the cloud of secrecy that’s shrouded scandals behind closed doors for nearly a decade is slowly being lifted as former prosecutors themselves are releasing statements to Your Content.
The lawman, who long held his tongue for fear of retribution of his career, or retaliation, spoke exclusively to Your Content to reveal the dirty depths the court and prosecutor sunk in effort to secure a high-profile conviction.
“O’Neill was the judge in charge of assigning criminal cases and the person who ran the nuts and bolts while his boss ran for judge was then-first district attorney Kevin Steele,” an insider formerly employed by the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office told Your Content.
The well-placed source was involved in the investigation into Bill Cosby, claiming then-newly appointed Judge O’Neill had his eyes set on the comic icon after a publicity stunt didn’t pan out.
“For being a ‘good soldier,’ the party gets O’Neill the post of County Solicitor to help him pay the bills. So, Bruce Castor was the district attorney and O’Neill was County Solicitor laying the groundwork to run for Judge the first chance he got.”
“O’Neill shortly thereafter gets elected Judge. He wants to try and draw attention to himself as different, so he pushes for the formation of a special court to deal with drug addicts giving them more treatment and less jail, which was new back then. Eventually, the district attorney’s office agreed to a test period for a Drug Court but it backfired.
“Castor got the credit for progressive thinking early on even though it was O’Neill’s publicity stunt.”
As Your Content readers know, Kevin Steele was caught red-handed reaching out to Andrea Constand’s civil attorney, Dolores Troiani, asking for any evidence she may have in her possession regarding the 2005 civil lawsuit against the comic icon.
“We know that Steele’s campaign worked in lock step with Constand’s lawyer,” the official revealed, indicating records of their meetings exist.
“Steele must justify his election and his arresting of Cosby. O’Neill assigns the Cosby case to himself to protect Steele who presented him this opportunity by making Cosby the Hail Mary pass that won the game.”
On Nov. 22. 2017, Your Content exclusively reported that Steele was said to be working with Constand’s legal team.
”I doubt whether in the history of the United States if anyone has been more unfairly railroaded than Cosby.
“And anyone willing to stand up and say so will be devoured. That is what is happening.”
According to the insider, a political party switcheroo led to the arrest of Cosby.
“In 2015, then-first ADA Kevin Steele, also from Lower Merion, like O’Neill and also a political leader there like O’Neill.
“But Steele then switched parties because no real Democrat would run against Bruce Castor. He had won four election in a row, two by record numbers.”
But perhaps the most troubling allegation is lodged against Judge O’Neill, who is accused of ‘assigning the case’ to ‘himself’ to ‘hurt Cosby’s career or reputation.’
“O’Neill assigns the Cosby case to himself getting into a position to hurt Cosby’s career and reputation,” the insider told Your Content.
“Get retribution for his wife who blames me for her public humiliation, and to protect Steele who presented him this opportunity by making Cosby the Hail Mary pass that won the game.”
The former lawman warned ‘fame and fortune’ will attach to both O’Neill and Steele.
“Appeals will take years. Steele will be re-elected, fame will attach to both of them.
“Fortunes will be made by civil lawyers and there is a good chance Cosby will die, in which case a conviction will stand.”
Cosby, 83, has been behind bars for nearly two years after a jury convicted him in 2018 of drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004. He is serving a three- to 10-year sentence.
“We’re staying tuned in because the corruption of Montgomery County is Must See TV,” Cosby’s publicist and longtime friend, Andrew Wyatt, told Your Content.
Your Content has reached out to District Attorney Kevin Steele, Judge Steven O’Neill and Bruce Castor. None provided comment on the situation.
