Surveillance footage recently released from a gas station in Washington, DC, captures the intense moment when federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for a series of deadly attacks on homeless individuals in New York City and DC, Your Content has learned.

The chilling crime spree, spanning over nine days, resulted in the deaths of two people and left three others injured.

Following the release of a closeup photograph and video by the Mayors of NYC and DC, law enforcement agencies intensified their efforts to locate the suspected serial killer.

In a significant development, the Washington DC police department confirmed the arrest of the suspect on Tuesday morning.

Identified as Gerald Brevard III, he was apprehended on the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast.

Gerald Brevard III has a troubling criminal history, having faced charges of robbery and sexual assault in both Washington DC and Virginia. However, his family, including his father and aunt that Brevard has been battling mental illness for a long time and has spent considerable periods within the criminal justice system.

They described him as a “good person” despite his struggles.

Tragically, two of the victims lost their lives as a result of these heinous attacks. One victim’s body was found engulfed in flames inside a tent in DC, while another victim in New York City was found deceased in a sleeping bag.

The investigation into the motive behind these senseless acts of violence is ongoing, according to The Daily Mail.
