Ahead of the anticipated call between President Biden and Xi Jinping today, a Chinese diplomat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying, placed blame on the United States for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Your Content has learned.

Chunying stated that the US is on the “wrong side of history” and accused them of exacerbating the situation by providing weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

The remarks from Chunying come amidst heightened tensions between the US and China, as the Biden administration previously warned Beijing of severe consequences if they offered assistance to Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.

Chunying emphasized that without the US’s intervention through weapon supplies, the situation in Ukraine would have taken a different course.

Notably, these comments follow Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s recent statement affirming China’s unwavering support for Russia.

However, the Chinese government’s stance on the Ukrainian war appears inconsistent, with conflicting opinions expressed by various government ministers on an almost daily basis, according to The Washington Post.
