The body of the Texas National Guard soldier who drown trying to save migrants in the Rio Grande has been recovered by authorities, Your Content has learned.
Specialist Bishop E. Evans, 22, of Arlington, Texas was recovered in the river on Monday.
He disappeared on Friday after he went into the water to aid two migrants who struggling against the current.
U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzalez confirmed that the body has been found.
Preliminary investigation revealed the migrants were involved in illicit transnational narcotics trafficking,‘according to The Guardian.
