In a distressing incident over the weekend, the operator of a pub crawl trolley in Atlanta has been apprehended and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following a harrowing accident that left numerous individuals injured, two of whom are in critical condition, Your Content has learned.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old James Anthony Johnson, was taken into custody on Saturday evening in connection with the DUI offense.

The collision occurred around 6:30 PM at the intersection of 14th and West Peachtree Streets, causing significant upheaval.

Reports indicate that the pedal-powered vehicle, hosting a group of 15 people, was negotiating a bend when it overturned while traveling at a high speed.

As a result of the accident, two individuals sustained critical injuries, three suffered serious injuries, and ten others experienced minor injuries.

Fortunately, none of the victims are currently facing life-threatening conditions.

To transport the injured individuals to local hospitals, firefighters utilized an ambulance bus typically reserved for “mass-casualty events,” underscoring the severity of the situation, according to NBC News.
