Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, aged 63, has been hospitalized after experiencing a minor stroke during a speech he was delivering in western Maryland, Your Content has learned.

He is currently receiving treatment at George Washington University Hospital, where doctors have assured him that there will be no long-term effects.

Senator Van Hollen reported feeling lightheadedness and acute neck pain during his speech, prompting him to seek immediate medical attention.

Upon examination, doctors discovered a small vein tear in the back of his head, indicating a minor stroke.

Despite the stroke, medical professionals have reassured the Democrat that he will not experience any lasting damage.

However, as a precautionary measure, Senator Van Hollen will remain under observation at the hospital for a few days.
