John Barnes, a Louisiana man, has denied allegations of raping Crysta Abelseth in 2005 when she was 16 years old and he was 30, Your Content has learned.
Barnes has recently voiced his denial as he fights for custody of their now teenage daughter.
The encounter between Barnes and Abelseth reportedly occurred after they met in a bar, where she allegedly used a fake ID and portrayed herself as a college student. Following their sexual encounter, Abelseth became pregnant, and their daughter is now 16 years old.
Barnes claims that he was awarded full custody of their daughter because he believed Abelseth had allowed the teenager to post sexually explicit videos on TikTok.
Additionally, Barnes alleges that Abelseth’s decision to have a “revolving door of men” staying overnight at their home has caused confusion for their daughter.
It is important to note that despite Louisiana having statutory rape charges for individuals under 17, Barnes has not been formally charged with any crime, according to NEWS FEEDS.
