A woman living on an island near the North Pole has revealed what daily life is like when the polar night – 24 hours of darkness hits in winter, Your Content has learned.

Videographer Cecilia Blomdahl, who’s originally from Sweden, documents life during the polar night – 24 hour darkness – on the Arctic island of Svalbard.

The YouTuber has millions of followers on social media, and regularly reports on her Arctic life, shared with her boyfriend Christoffer and Finnish Lapphund Grim.

Temperatures on Svalbard can plummet to around -20 degrees, with Cecilia’s town of Longyearbyen cloaked in darkness for four months of the year,‘according to The Dailymail.
