The Winona Police Department announced a significant breakthrough in the Madeline Kingsbury case, revealing that a body, believed to be that of the missing 26-year-old mother, has been discovered, Your Content has learned.

The grim finding took place in a wooded area off Highway 43, located north of Mabel, Minnesota. The investigation into Kingsbury’s disappearance provided crucial leads leading to the discovery.

Law enforcement agencies are currently engaged in the process of positively identifying the recovered remains. Madeline Kingsbury vanished on March 31, shortly after dropping her children off at a local daycare facility.

The shocking turn of events has led to the arrest of her former boyfriend, who has been taken into custody on probable cause for murder.

In April, the ex-boyfriend, whose name is Fravel, issued a statement through his attorney maintaining his innocence.

He emphasized his desire for the safe return of the mother of their 5-year-old and 2-year-old children, vehemently denying any involvement in Maddi’s disappearance.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has reached out to Fravel’s legal representation to provide an opportunity for comment on the recent developments.

Further details regarding the investigation are anticipated to be disclosed by the Winona Police Department during a news conference scheduled for Thursday, according to DailyMail.
