Renowned comedian Whitney Cummings has shared the joyous news of her pregnancy, with her first child expected to arrive in December, Your Content has learned.
The 40-year-old entertainer took to Instagram to reveal her baby bump through a captivating slide show of snapshots. She also delighted fans by including a sonogram image in her announcement.
Teasingly, Cummings wrote, “In these pix I am with child. And there’s a baby in me too,” as she playfully interacted with one of her rescue dogs in a swimming pool.
She added, “Human pup coming December. All your dates in 2023 still happening; I just may fall over a couple times.”
Addressing concerns about her upcoming performances, Cummings reassured her followers in the comment section that her stand-up shows in Brea, California, scheduled for this weekend, are still on, emphasizing, “I’m just pregnant, not dying.”
Publicly photographed last on May 5 at a THR event in Los Angeles, Cummings was spotted wearing an oversized blazer and high-waisted pants.
While she has not disclosed the identity of the baby’s father, her most recent relationship was with veterinarian Alex Barnes in 2021.
Prior to that, she was engaged to advertising executive Miles Skinner but ended their engagement in 2020 after two years together.
Earlier this year, during an appearance on TODAY, the Two Broke Girls actress revealed that she had chosen to freeze her eggs and expressed her intention to try getting pregnant this year.
She humorously remarked, “I have all the time in the world to have biological children, so there’s no rush,” while sharing her plans.
Following her pregnancy announcement on Tuesday, Cummings received an outpouring of love and support from her fellow comedians.
Annie Lederman jokingly exclaimed, “You’re gonna be the best dad,” and Nikke Glazer congratulated her, saying, “Lucky baby! Congrats Whittttt!!” Stassi Schroeder Clark, currently pregnant with her second child, expressed her excitement as well, exclaiming, “OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Congratulations Whitney!!!!!!!!“
On her Instagram Story, Cummings treated her followers to more glimpses of her growing belly, admitting that her pants haven’t fit in weeks.
She also shared a close-up image of her sonogram, playfully noting that her baby may already be destined for stardom as it seemed to be “already holding a microphone.”
Back in May, during an episode of her Good For You podcast, Cummings mentioned taking a pregnancy test.
Rather than receiving a positive or negative result, she encountered a “book” symbol, which indicates a testing error and necessitates another test.
While she did not provide further details about her pregnancy journey before Tuesday’s reveal, Cummings joins a list of high-profile stars who have announced their pregnancies this year.
Notable figures include Kourtney Kardashian, Victoria’s Secret model Josephine Skriver, pop sensation Rihanna, and actress Claire Danes, all eagerly anticipating the arrival of their children, according to DailyMail.
