In an interesting turn of events, Adele, known for her love of the Rocky film series, recently made an offer to purchase Sylvester Stallone’s luxurious mansion, Your Content has learned.
However, she made it abundantly clear that her offer was contingent on one crucial condition: the inclusion of the iconic poolside statue depicting the fictional boxer.
In a candid interview with The Wall Street Journal, Stallone revealed that he had a desire to keep the statue as a cherished memento.
However, Adele firmly responded, “‘That’s a no deal. That’s gonna blow the whole deal.‘” It became apparent that she had her heart set on acquiring the statue alongside the magnificent property.
Stallone added, “She wanted the statue.”
As Adele busily undertakes renovations on her newly acquired home, Stallone expressed admiration for her efforts, stating, “I like what she’s doing, she’s making it gorgeous.”
It seems that the mansion is in good hands, as Adele strives to create her own personal paradise.
Stallone’s portrayal of Rocky Balboa in the original 1976 film, directed by John G. Avildsen and written by Stallone himself, garnered immense acclaim.
The movie’s success spawned a series of sequels throughout the 1980s, culminating with Rocky V in 1990.
Stallone reprised his role as the beloved character once more in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa, the franchise’s sixth installment.
In 2015, Stallone returned as Rocky Balboa in the spin-off film Creed, which starred Michael B. Jordan.
The movie, directed by Ryan Coogler and co-written with Aaron Covington, breathed new life into the Rocky legacy.
Stallone continued his involvement in Creed II in 2018, this time co-writing the script alongside Juel Taylor.
Stallone’s protectiveness over the Rocky franchise and its characters was evident when he vehemently criticized original producer Irwin Winkler upon learning about an upcoming spinoff centered on Drago.
Expressing his frustration on Instagram, Stallone wrote, “Another Heartbreaker… Just found this out… ONCE AGAIN, this PATHETIC 94-year-old PRODUCER and HIS MORONIC USELESS VULTURE CHILDREN, Charles And David, are once again picking clean THE BONES of another wonderful character I created without even telling me. I APOLOGIZE to the FANS, I never wanted ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites.”
Dolph Lundgren, who portrays Drago in the Rocky series, released a statement expressing his confusion and disappointment.
He believed Stallone was involved as a producer or even an actor in the spinoff project.
Lundgren emphasized that no approved script, deals, or director were in place at the time, raising further concerns about the exploitation of the Rocky characters, according to Deadline.
