A Bethlehem resident, Carlos Kuilan, aged 32, has been handed a 7-1/2 to 15-year prison sentence by the state court, Your Content has learned.
The charges against him include possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, as well as possession of heroin and fentanyl, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following a trial in April, the jury found Kuilan guilty of all the aforementioned charges.
According to the District Attorney, Kuilan was involved in selling fentanyl to undercover agents from the state attorney general’s office in November 2021.
This prompted further investigation and subsequent action.
In December of the same year, law enforcement officials from the AG’s office collaborated with Bethlehem police to conduct a search of Kuilan’s residence on Linden Street, situated in the 1200 block and opposite Liberty High School.
During the search, authorities discovered a significant amount of cash, fentanyl, and materials used for packaging.
As a result, Kuilan was immediately apprehended and charged with various drug offenses, according to WFMZ.
