A courageous woman’s urgent 911 text, revealing her terrifying abduction in Boulder City, became the catalyst for a heroic Las Vegas police operation that culminated in the shooting of an armed suspect inside an SUV, accompanied by at least two other individuals, according to authorities, Your Content has learned.

The incident unfolded during the early hours of the morning at a bustling intersection a few miles east of downtown Las Vegas.

The wounded suspect, in critical condition, was swiftly transported to a hospital following the intense altercation.

Additionally, two occupants of the vehicle were also hospitalized, their injuries yet to be disclosed.

Las Vegas police Captain Joshua Martinez shed light on the events in a concise video statement, explaining that the SUV was pursued and intercepted by officers. A life-or-death moment transpired when the suspect brandished a firearm towards the occupants of another vehicle, prompting an officer to take decisive action and discharge their weapon, striking the suspect.

Before the encounter, the courageous victim had managed to discreetly send a distressing message to 911 dispatchers, alerting them to her harrowing situation.

Boulder City police confirmed that the vehicle was spotted leaving their jurisdiction and heading towards Las Vegas, setting the wheels in motion for the dramatic rescue.

At the scene, witnesses witnessed the aftermath of the confrontation, with a white SUV wedged between a Las Vegas police cruiser and an armored SWAT vehicle, surrounded by a swarm of law enforcement personnel near a popular fast-food establishment, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The injured suspect’s identity remains undisclosed, while details concerning the condition of the other vehicle occupants are pending further information, according to US News.
