Franklin Authorities Identify Human Remains as Missing Local Man

Franklin, Warren County – The Warren County Coroner’s Office has successfully identified the human remains discovered in Franklin on Sunday, according to official statements. The deceased individual has been identified as William Middleton, a 37-year-old resident of the Franklin area, Your Content has learned.

Middleton had been reported missing on July 4 and was last seen in Franklin on June 21, as reported by the Franklin Division of Police.

The discovery of the human remains took place during a search operation conducted by volunteers from the Midwest chapter of TexasEquuSearch, who were actively searching for a local missing person, as stated in a press release issued by the Franklin police. At approximately 5:30 p.m., the volunteers alerted the Franklin Police Division after spotting the human remains using their aerial drone. The remains were located on a small island situated north of the Lions Bridge.

Promptly, both police and fire crews responded to the scene and deployed rescue watercraft. After confirming the presence of adult human remains, detectives initiated the processing of the area. The Warren County Coroner’s Office was also summoned to the location. In the next phase, the remains will be transferred to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for further examination and formal identification, according to WHIO7.
