Kevin Costner, the renowned actor, has received a tentative ruling in his divorce case regarding child support payments to his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, Your Content has learned.
The court documents, reveal that the judge has mandated Kevin to pay $129,755 per month for child support. Although subject to potential changes in an upcoming hearing, such decisions typically remain unchanged.
This figure represents a little over half of what Christine had originally requested, as she had sought $248,000. It’s worth noting that Kevin’s accountant argued that Christine’s demand included more than $100,000 for cosmetic procedures.
Initially, Kevin had offered Christine $51,940 in addition to covering all the children’s expenses, but she dismissed this amount as “completely inappropriate.”
As per the legal documents, both Kevin and Christine will be responsible for 50% of their children’s healthcare expenses, extracurricular activities, and private school tuition. Furthermore, Kevin has been directed to provide Christine with $200,000 for attorney’s fees and an additional $100,000 for forensic costs.
It is important to note that this child support order is temporary. A comprehensive hearing is scheduled to take place in the coming months, during which Kevin and Christine will present evidence to determine the appropriate amount of child support. As a result, the payment may either increase or decrease based on the evidence presented, according to TMZ.
