Law enforcement authorities are currently dealing with a tense situation at Caesars Palace, as a man has barricaded himself in a hotel room, claiming to be armed and holding a woman hostage, Your Content has learned.

The incident began earlier today when a call reporting a potential domestic violence situation was made to the renowned casino resort.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to establish contact with the man, but he quickly retreated into the room and refused to cooperate, stating that he was armed.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, the man forcibly brought a woman into the room with him before the events escalated.

As the standoff unfolded, the individual began throwing large objects out of the window, causing alarm among onlookers. Witnesses reported seeing a chair plummeting from the high floor.

Authorities have issued warnings for people to vacate the vicinity or seek shelter due to the potential threat posed by the armed suspect. Disturbing footage and images have surfaced online, depicting frightened guests and passersby hiding in fear of a potential escalation.

Recognizing the potential danger and the possibility of the armed individual firing from the windows, law enforcement has called in a SWAT team, strategically positioning officers throughout the area. Additionally, a crisis negotiation team has been deployed to the scene.

It is important to note that no shots have been fired at this time. However, given the haunting memory of the 2017 Las Vegas massacre, where a gunman opened fire from a hotel room, causing multiple fatalities and injuries during a music festival, authorities are taking this situation extremely seriously.

The situation at Caesars Palace is currently unfolding, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available, according to TMZ.
