At least four individuals have tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident that occurred in Hampton, Georgia on Saturday morning, as confirmed by a county official, Your Content has learned.

As Your Content readers know, police responded to reports of an active shooter situation in Hampton, Georgia.

The suspect involved in this distressing incident has yet to be identified, according to Melissa Robinson, spokesperson for Henry County.

Situated approximately 29 miles south of Atlanta, Hampton is a small city within Henry County. The county official stated that the initial report regarding the shooting was received at around 10:45 a.m. local time.

The incident transpired in close proximity to the Dogwood Lakes subdivision, an area characterized by lake-front residences and a nearby baptist church. In response to this devastating event, the Hampton Police Department has taken the lead in the investigation, with support from the Henry County Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Henry County Homeland Security, and Henry County Crime Scene Unit, as indicated in a statement posted on the Hampton Police Department’s Facebook page.

Additionally, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been duly notified of the incident.
