Tyshon Perry, a 30-year-old resident of Coatesville, PA, has been apprehended by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office for engaging in unlawful contact with four minor victims aged 12 to 16, Your Content has learned.
The unlawful contact took place between September 2022 and April 2023 through social media platforms. Perry faces charges of unlawful contact with minors, child pornography, and other related offenses. Magisterial District Judge Hines has set bail at one million dollars in cash, and Perry has been remanded to the Chester County Prison.
According to District Attorney Deb Ryan, Perry masqueraded as a teenager and coerced children into sharing explicit images while also sending explicit images of himself via Snapchat. Authorities suspect that there may be additional victims, and they urge anyone with information to contact the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.
This case serves as a stark reminder for parents to discuss online communication with their children and raise awareness about the dangers posed by child predators.
The investigation revealed the following allegations:
On May 3, 2023, Chester County Detectives received a tip about Tyshon Perry soliciting minors for explicit images on Snapchat. Detectives observed conversations where Perry inquired about the preference for older men, including individuals who identified themselves as underage, specifically in the age range of 14 to 16.
Perry solicited sexually explicit images from these users and reciprocated by sending sexual images of himself. On May 4, 2023, a search warrant was issued, and the Chester County Detectives Computer Forensics Unit examined Perry’s Snapchat account, registered under the username “go2guyty.”
The analysis uncovered numerous still images and videos featuring pubescent and post-pubescent juvenile females. These images depicted Perry’s face and documented him engaging in sexual activities with various young females.
Perry had identified himself as a 15-year-old while sharing these images with others. Investigators discovered multiple Snapchat conversations in which Perry engaged in sexually explicit chats with minors, solicited and shared explicit images, and attempted to arrange in-person meetings for sexual purposes.
Law enforcement subsequently identified and contacted four minor victims between the ages of 12 and 16. Each victim provided statements regarding their interactions with Perry:
Child victim #1, who underwent a forensic interview on May 5, 2023, stated that she communicated with Perry on Snapchat when she was approximately 15 years old, from December 2022 to January 2023. In her Snapchat profile, she had identified herself as 14 years old.
During their frequent video chats, Perry requested that she engage in explicit activities on camera. Perry sent nude photographs of himself, and the child victim reciprocated by sending still images. However, they never met in person.
Child victim #2, aged 12, informed the police during a recorded interview on June 26, 2023, that she had contact with Perry on Snapchat between November 2022 and March 2023. She blocked his user profile due to his odd behavior.
Throughout their conversations, the victim sent multiple explicit images of herself to Perry, who often expressed a desire to kiss her. The victim disclosed her actual age of 12 to Perry.
Child victim #3, approximately 16 years old during her contact with Perry from September to November 2022, recognized Perry’s Snapchat username. However, she considered him a peculiar peer from her school and largely disregarded his messages. Their conversations included Perry’s persistent requests to see the victim’s naked body.
Child victim #4, aged 14 to 15 during her communication with Perry from late December 2022 to late April 2023, recognized Perry’s username and recalled numerous conversations with him. The victim identified images she had sent to Perry when she was 14, including pictures of herself in underwear and other explicit images. Perry claimed to be 16 years old and mentioned talking to other girls as young as 13.
Investigators suspect that there may be additional victims and potential user accounts used by Perry to contact children. If you possess any information related to this case, please reach out to the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.
