Authorities in Bucks County are intensifying search efforts for a toddler and her baby brother who were swept away by flash floods during severe weather over the weekend, Your Content has learned.
Tragically, five other individuals lost their lives in the incident. The rescue teams have escalated their search using sonar technology, aerial surveillance, and rescue dogs to locate the missing children.
The victims who drowned in the sudden flash flooding have been identified as 78-year-old Enzo Depiero, 74-year-old Linda Depiero, 53-year-old Susan Barnhart, 64-year-old Yuko Love, and 32-year-old Katheryn “Katie” Seley.
Seley and her family were visiting relatives when they became trapped after the water surged. While Seley’s mother, fiancé, and 4-year-old son managed to reach safety, her 2-year-old daughter Mattie and 9-month-old son Conrad are still missing.
The children’s uncle expressed gratitude for the support and unwavering commitment to bringing them home. Rescue crews, joined by additional teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, are tirelessly continuing the search until the missing children are found.
Updates on the situation will be provided in a news conference scheduled for 3 p.m. in Upper Makefield Township, according to CBS.
